Precautions
- When administering medication, you can wet your finger slightly to help the capsule stick.
- After placing the capsule in the cat’s mouth, aim to stick it to the upper back part of the throat. Close the cat’s mouth and gently massage its throat from the outside.
- Ensure the cat is eating normally before opting for pills or capsules.
- Be careful not to push the pill too far down the throat, as this can cause vomiting and result in failed medication administration.
- Pay attention to the cat’s mood to prevent bites or scratches.
- Avoid having long nails or artificial nails to prevent injury to the cat’s oral mucosa.
